Last updated: 9 April 2026
1. Introduction
EarthVue Pty Ltd (ABN pending) (“EarthVue”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the EarthVue platform. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account details: name, email address, organisation name, and password
- Billing information: processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details
- Geospatial data: boundary files (GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML) you upload
- Communications: support requests, feedback, and correspondence
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information (user agent, screen resolution)
- IP address and approximate geolocation
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, analysis types run
- Performance data: page load times, errors (via Sentry and Vercel Analytics)

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Service, including processing spatial data and running analyses
- Manage your account and process subscription payments
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets, credit notifications)
- Improve the Service through usage analytics and error monitoring
- Respond to support requests and communicate about Service updates
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

4. AI & Automated Processing
EarthVue uses AI models (including Google Gemini) to generate analysis summaries and reports. When you use AI features, your analysis metrics and project metadata (not raw spatial data) are sent to the AI provider to generate text. AI outputs are not used for model training. We do not share your raw geospatial files with AI providers.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers: Supabase (database/auth), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Sentry (error tracking), Mapbox (mapping), Google (AI)
- Shared project recipients: When you create a share link, the linked project geometry and metadata are visible to anyone with the link
- Organisation members: Users within your organisation can access shared projects and analysis data
- Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process
6. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on SOC 2-compliant infrastructure. Database access is protected by row-level security (RLS). All connections use TLS encryption. Service keys are stored server-side only. We conduct regular security reviews, but no system is completely secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for the duration of your account. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymised usage analytics may be retained indefinitely.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside Australia (including the United States and the European Union) where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the APPs.
9. Your Rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:
